Dacor Buoyancy Compensator
A dacor buoyancy compensator device is worn by divers to provide the ability to adjust and control the overall buoyancy of the diver. It helps a diver to achieve neutral buoyancy, remain at a constant depth, or help descend or ascend while under water. Basically a buoyancy compensator is used to keep a scuba diver afloat at varying depth levels. Size, shape, and diving style should be considered before purchasing a buyoyancy compensator.
There are actually three types of dacor buoyancy compensators. The first is referred to as wings. It consists of an inflatable bladder that is worn between the diver`s back and the diver`s cylinders. This dacor buoyancy compensator design frees the divers sides and front.
Another type of buoyancy compensator is a stab jacket or it may be referred to as a dacor buoyancy compensator vest. These inflatable vests are worn around the upper torso. They may either extend from the back around to the sides of the diver or may only cover the back. Some divers prefer the wraparound buoyancy compensator because some consider it easier to maintain balance, both submerged and on the surface.
The third type of dacor buoyancy compensator is the diver`s lifejacket. It is worn around the neck and chest with straps around the waist. They are not considered very comfortable because they use a crotch strap between the legs. They seem to provide less total buoyancy potential than other dacor buoyancy compensators as well.
